Assisting in the Selection and Implementation of new
fully integrated computer system covering all areas of the business including
manufacturing.
Industrial Ceramics Manufacturer:
Selection and implementation of a Advanced Planning System (APS)
for
Production Planning to achieve improved delivery performance to customers.
Review of operating procedures and systems in a large
in-house toolroom involving the introduction of an employee data collection
system using barcode technology and the development of the computerised
manufacturing system to improve control and deliveries of new tooling and
repairs.
Following the success of the work in the toolroom the project
was extended into the manufacturing areas involving the introduction of employee
data collection and material usage using barcode technology including training
300 employees. This enabled Gross Margin analysis by customer and products.
Implementation of BS EN ISO 9002 Quality Standard for
one of the divisions.
Plastic Injection Moulders:
Review and Development of Computerised Manufacturing System (MRP)
including training of key personnel. This resulted in improved customer
deliveries from 60-70% on time to 90% in three months, reduced stock and costs,
improved machine utilisation and profit levels.
Powerboat Manufacturer:
Review of current Business Systems and recommending a
programme of improvements.
